Hello all! So you might notice the website looks a bit different. We are transitioning to using a new blogging platform called Ghost. It is definately an upgrade on the posting side of things! It also allows you to subscribe to our blog so you can stay up to date on any new posts which is a plus. Ok! Now onto the pictures!

Hanging out with Ba-Ba and Kim

Every day after work, Q and I generally find ourselves wanding over to see what Kim and Ba-Ba are doing. They have been spending a lot of time recently working on their front porch.

When Alex goes on a date with his brother Kelly, or if he is away on an evening bike ride, sometimes Ba-Ba, Kim, Q and I will go out to dinner. This evening we all went out to Capsize in Oxford Maryland. Attached to the restaraunt is the Scottish Highland Creamery with lots of amazing ice cream flavors.

Q prefered to eat Ba-Ba's mint chocolate chip ice cream cone.

Trip to NJ

What a fun trip! The nidus for this excursion is that one of my medical school friends has a sister who had an engagement party on August 7th and they live up in NJ. I haven't seen my 2 friends Qinchi and Khyati for several years. Having the chance of driving a few hours and getting to see them was an opportunity I wasn't going to pass up. That and we made it into a fun trip for the 3 of us.

Quentin did fabulous on the ride up to NJ which was total around 4hrs of travel time. We stayed at an AirBnB in Southplainfield NJ. The flat was pretty funny. It was a basement appartment which VERY low ceilings. It worked fine for me (I'm only 5'2") and for Alex it was doable, but someone who was tall would have had to stoop the entire time.

Quentin slept SO WELL that night. He slept until around 8am and then we had some tasty treats from a local bakery.

Before the party at noon, we ventured to the Watchung Reservation for some morning playground time and some hiking.

The pool party was a blast and it was SO GOOD to see my 2 medical school friends. It was sad to say goodbye to them, but thankfully, we will all be seeing each other soon in Jan 2022 for Qinchi's wedding in California! I also didn't take any pics at the pool party because we were all having too much fun.

Quentin did great on the ride home, and we were all happy to sleep in our own beds that night.
